Keynote ratings for online stock purchasing

Although ratings are important, you also need to feel comfortable with your online trading site.  Some of them are made for all types of investors with simple controls and trading mechanisms (e.g. eTrade).  Others are for more advanced traders (e.g. Ameritrade).  Before depositing a lot of money into one particular brokerage, make sure you are comfortable with the site design and most importantly customer service. Don't look at commissions alone.  Some brokers, such as eTrade, tack on fees that should be consider part of the base commission.
